And so it begins

The count down is over. The day has come. Less than 24 hours remain prior to our departure from Calgary to begin our long and fruitful journey to Africa! Bags are packed, goodbyes in order and eager smiles are everywhere.
We will be flying out around 11 pm tonight with well over our allowed limit of bags; bags full of goods, clothes, gifts and tools. Everyone has been looking forward to this day for some time and it all seems surreal that in only a few short months we have brought this extraordinary team together to embark on a mission to make a difference.
We will be meeting Brian and Georgina in Lusaka as they have gotten a jump start on us while doing some vacationing in Africa these last two weeks.
As much as I'm sure everyone will have someone at home to be missed the road ahead of us will be an eye opening experience,lots of work and likely full of memories and laughs not soon forgotten
